: McKayla Maroney spoke out against her Olympic Gymnastic doctor Larry Nassar of sexual acts when she was a teenager. She said it all began when she was 13 years old, training for her first National Team and lasted throughout her career. He molested her throughout the years under the impression of giving her "medically necessary treatment that he had been performing on patients for over 30 years." Doctor Nassar took advantage of Maroney whenever and wherever he had the opportunity to “treat” her. He molested her when she won her gold medal and her silver medal. Moreover, when she had flown to Tokyo he had gave her a sleeping pill for the flight and when she woke up he was giving her “treatment” in the hotel. Not only Nassar was molesting his athletic children, he obtained child pornography in his computer. He pleaded guilty in July to federal charges of receiving child pornography, possessing child pornography and hiding and destroying evidence in the case. “Nassar currently faces 22 counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and 11 counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct (involving other victims) at the state level, Megan Hawthorne, deputy press secretary for Michigan State Attorney General Bill Schuette”. …show more content…
The “treatment” consisted of sexually molesting his athletes. He convinced young naïve athletic girls to think that his sexual “medical treatment” would help them succeed in the Gymnastic field. Nassar abused his authoritative power to sexually abuse underage girls who wanted to make a name for themselves in the Gymnastic field. Nassar worked for the USA Gymnastic therefore violating their policy and the law. He obtained illegal files in his computer of child pornography. He disregarded his morals and organization code of conduct to inappropriately touch underage girls to satisfy his illegal sexual
