It was cool to see how DCI runs roleplays because they make it feel as authentic as possible. They even used actual guns (while they may have only shot pellets) to pretend that an OID took place. In this weeklong program, the main idea drilled into the LEOs’ heads was that the local team of LEOs are not allowed to investigate OIDs because of the possible bias. For instance, if a person in Kenosha was shot by a Kenosha Police then an outside agency such as Milwaukee PD or DCI would have to come in and investigate the OID.
