Obesity is a rapidly growing problem throughout the entire world. This is a topic known to almost every culture and to various types of languages. In America, obesity is often looked at as just another topic related to being severely overweight. The fact that it is becoming increasingly more common and killing more people every day, is what is going unnoticed and disregarded. Obesity can take over anyones life. From adults to children, all age groups can suffer from this epidemic. Parents have the potential to outlive the youth of today. This is due to the fact that in the parent’s lifetime, obesity was not as common as it is today. The only solution to this rising epidemic is to make the current generation aware of the harm done to their bodies through fast food and unhealthy school lunches, so the necessary change will be made. The first step in realizing it is time for change is figuring out what the sole cause of this problem is exactly. Many people go right to blaming the producers because of the unhealthy food they create. Yes, this food can cause weight gain, but this is only possible if it is decided to allow the food into the body. This does not mean to stop eating, but rather, decide what is a healthy amount and if the food is ultimately benefiting the body. Many people do not focus on the portion sizes of the food consumed. It is more likely eating will continue until satisfaction occurs. Larger portion sizes for consumers means more food for an inexpensive price…
