Recommendations on addressing and improving the issues with the North Korean nuclear programs A strategy that would most likely be effective is having peaceful negotiations take place between the United States and North Korea whereby the main concerns of the nuclear programs would be addressed with the hope that both countries would reach an agreement that would benefit both countries as well as other countries that would have been affected by the implementation of these nuclear programs. The second strategy that could be enforced would be to motivate North Korea to abandon its nuclear programs by offering incentives such as economic and security assistance from the United States and involving sanctions that would ensure that North Korea commits to denuclearization. This strategy would require the United States to work with China in order to ensure that North Korea adheres to the terms and conditions of the agreement.
