Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the new president. He delivered a new deal to the people. His job was to help the people and the town more better. Herbert Hoover felt that the government should be supported by the people, But Franklin thought differently. His first 100 days of presidency was just passing on bills. It was to help relieve poverty, reduce unemployment, and speed economic recovery. He singed the Glass-Steagall Act in 1933. The National Industrial Recovery Act and the National Recovery Administration were to the unemployed people. The Federal Emergency Relief Administration created in 1933 gave $3 billion to states to relief programs. The Agricultural Act subsidized farmers for reducing crops and provided loans fir the farmers facing bankruptcy. The Home Owners' Loan Corporation helped people save their homes from foreclosure. Even though depression was going on the people town was still going good. People getting jobs and keeping their houses. I believe that Franklin Delano Roosevelt succeeded in helping the people out. He called a meeting with all the government files to help get out The Great Depression. Each person had their own area of expertise.
