From the start, I think it can be agreed upon that Napoleon dynamite is undoubtedly a unique character whether he could be characterized as a classical anti-hero or not. The strange and seemingly endless quarks he possesses all add up to give the audience, in my opinion, a mixed feeling about Napoleon. In my professional opinion though I do not believe Napoleon would fall under the categorization of an anti-hero.
Napoleon just does not encourage very much sympathy from the audience, if any at all. Undoubtedly he is, for lack of a better word, weird but overall his weirdness just overrides and justifiable reason for the viewer to be rooting for Napoleon.
