Minitoes are often put in the position that they are afraid of the police, and I hope to use that in my argument to show that they are often picked on for their race. In, “Race and Marijuana Arrests,” I hope to use the numbers it provides to demonstrate that police are targeting minorities more frequently. With the article titled, “Uses and Abuses of Drug Decriminalization in Portugal,” I am going to show that there are system out there that do work, we just refuse to use them as a country. Using the article, “How a $2 Roadside Drug Test Sends Innocent People to Jail,” I will show that there are flaws in the system that need to be addressed, these flaws often send innocent people to jail. In the documentary, “Extreme Smuggling,” I want to show a drug dealers perspective from a different country to compare it to a drug dealer from the US. By doing this, I hope to show that there are similarities between the two, as they are most likely caused by economic reasons.
