There had been countless times where I have been pushed to the point of giving up, but every single time I have had a way to escape, whether that was putting it off, making excuses or letting someone else do it, but in Piggy’s situation he had nowhere to run from his problem but he still powered through. He is a leader, He is relentless. He is thoughtful. That is why I admire Piggy the most. “We got to find the others. We got to do something.” Ralph said nothing. Here was a coral island. Protected from the sun, ignoring Piggy’s ill-omened talk, he dreamed pleasantly. Piggy insisted.” (LOTF, PG. 17) From the beginning, we can see that piggy is a natural born leader. After piggy realized the severity of the situation he knew that it was crucial to get everyone together. Another part of being a leader is doing the right thing even though it's not easy. Piggy was always getting picked on and we all know what that's like. Getting bullied makes you mad but Piggy was able to take control of his anger and keep himself under control, unlike Jack who, at the end of the book, rebelled against the group because of indignance and anger.

From Piggies earliest years he seems to have it rough, “Piggy flushed suddenly. “My dad’s dead,” he said quickly, “and my mum—” He took off his glasses and looked vainly for something with which to clean them” (LOTF, PG. 16) From this sentence we can infer that Piggy has never had a fatherly figure to look up to and also not much of a family. Then, he gets stranded on an Island with a bunch of boys who bully him, but Piggy doesn’t let that get him down. He always looks on the bright side of things, like the fact that he has his auntie, or the fact the at they will eventually be rescued. I admire that trait that Piggy
