Coach John Wooden: A Personal Analysis

According to Coach John Wooden’s his definition of success is don’t be better than someone else, always try to be the best you can be, others are out of your control, learn from others, but depend on your own self- worth, and you are the only one who knows whether you have won. In addition, I could not agree more with Coach Wooden on his views of success, but my definition of success would be to learn from others, but only rely on yourself, regardless of the situation to never quit, avoid distractions and strive for greatness, and always thrive for hard work.

Additionally, when I entered into my first wrestling match tons of nervous emotions were rolling throughout my body, but with the consistency of practicing with my coaches and teammates, I knew I was ready for the gruesome match. As a result, before I step on the mat with eagerness in my eyes I knew I had this match won. My opponent was not ready with my agility, quickness, and determination for the win.
