Encouraging students to be proud of who they are and where they come from is very important. No matter the student, the main goal is to give every student the best education possible and ready them to become responsible adult. A student’s culture, race, ethics, and linguistic diversity plays a major part of the child’s life, so there is no reason they should not be discussed. When looking from an educational stand point, language is one of the most important tools to learn. It is crucial for a child’s social and cognitive development. For many students, English is not their first language learned and have another home language. English is the language we use in school to educate our children. With that being said, learning may not be as simple to some students because they still have yet to master English. Children’s home language should not affect their ability to learn English, but also must not disregard a student’s home language. English is something that needs to be mastered though, no matter what or else that student will not be able to gain the knowledge that is being presented to them. It would not be good to frown upon home language because it will cause unnecessary issues such as causing an issue with family communication. We should encourage the family to get involved and support their child, no matter the traditions in that family. By doing this and acknowledging a student’s home language, in conjoins the family and the education system together which will open amazing opportunities for the students and give them ability to have the best education possible with support from everywhere. I believed involving diversity in the classroom is very important for students and
