For my research I have chosen Jackie Robinson. The reason why I chosen him was because he changed the way of baseball. In 20th century he was the first black athlete to play major league baseball. Jackie signed with the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947 (“Jackie Robinson”). Also in 1947 he was named the Rookie of the year and national League MVP in 1949 (“Jackie Robinson”). In 1955 he took the Brooklyn Dodgers to the World Series and won (“Jackie Robinson”). Jackie was born January 31,1919, in Cairo Georgia. Jackie was the youngest of the five children (“Jackie Robinson”).
