Jackie robinson changed sports in 1945 by being the first African American to play major league Baseball. He was born 1919, His father left when he was 6 months old. His mother decided to move them out of the south to California. California was segregated, No blacks in certain restraunts, only allowed pool use on certain days, Etc. Jackie Fell in love with sports, In UCLA he was first student to letter in 4 sports. His favortie sport was football. He didnt graduate from UCLA and joined a professional football team but instead enlisted in the army in 1941 at the beginning of WWII.
