Manufacturing of products has shown to be on the rise with the induction of a new principle called Lean and has been very effective in Japan. They started off launching these five keys goals within their system. These specified goals are: 1) Eliminate non-value-added activity (activity that is not of value toward a patient’s care), 2) Keep inventory low (Just in-time inventory strategy), 3) Embrace technology (improve and eliminate waste), 4) Value employees (staff involvement with the development of people) and 5) Continually Improvement (Focus on the root cause). Incorporation of these goals within any healthcare system or industry can show significant production with the efficiencies of that specific industrial organization.
