We live in a world where unfair decisions are made every minute. Some of us neither punish nor reproach malefactors; thereby, we are not just protecting what they did, we are also helping the foundations of injustice from beneath new generations.This quote makes a barefaced point, but not everyone understands it. When an injustice is done, we should think of it as “What if that happened to me?”. Sadly, that is something many people I know don’t even think about. They may say that it was a shame that something bad happened, but when it comes to trying to do something to change that, they just go ahead and mind their own business. It doesn’t usually cross their mind that maybe one day it could possibly happen to them.
That can be a justifiable reaction, if for some reason, you believe the incident was only a time mistake and you have faith on the system. But this quote is not for that kind of incident. The quote I’m explaining is about a system with bias. An unjust and uneven system that targets some people and lets others go away. And sadly, as we are unjust and uneven, so is the life we design.
