The classification of Income level is split into 3 classes: Lower-class, Middle-class - working class, lower-middle and upper-middle- and Upper-class. Income classification is important to how much in taxes you pay out, because the more money you make, the higher the percentage the government takes out of your taxable income. Income is also important to how much credit you can put on a credit card. If you're in the Lower-class and you have an 820 credit score, the amount of credit you're able to put on a credit card will be significantly lower than a person in the upper-class with the same credit score.
