That means there are roughly 11.7 million unauthorized immigrants in the United States thats 3.7 percent of the total U.S. population and about 5.2 percent of the labor force. When it comes to unauthorized immigrants, the overwhelming majority are indeed Latino primarily from Mexico and Central America. However, there are other populations of unauthorized immigrants in the U.S from places like Asia, South America, Europe and Canada, and the Caribbean.
