Firstly, women are some of the spiritual leaders in the village, for example, priestess to Agbala. Secondly, the earth goddess, who is the most powerful god in the Ibo village, is a women, which means for the Ibo people to have a woman as their most powerful god shows that they have respect for their women. Thirdly,women are the supporters of the people and the clan, in a way they are the foundation of the clan. Fourth, their job in the yam production is very important, because if they mess up their whole family would suffer and it is a very laborious job. Fifth,women are the educators of their children, helping them learn and function in the Ibo society and culture. Additionally, emotions and feelings are only for woman in the eyes of Okonkwo and some of the other men, so when a man shows compassion or any other emotions to another person so they are seen as weak and having women qualities. To end, these show that women have some of the most significant roles in the Ibo
