Ideology And Visual Culture Essay

This essay is going to explore the link between the term ‘ideology’ and visual culture, I am going to discuss with some images and some references. Ideology is usually defined as the body of myth, belief, groups, social movements and etc. We are linking these myth, belief, groups and etc to visual culture. Nowadays, people are more likely to provide the massage through pictures or images, and we are more likely to get the messages from the images. We are going to know how to identify them and understand them through deeper visualization such as culture, believes, different groups of society and social movements to help us getting the information more correctly.
Ideology usually refers to the values and beliefs that a group or a society, and relates to the things that people actually do in the living society, and people often seen ideology as ‘natural’, ‘common sense’ and ‘the way things are’, because it is the easier way to help us to quickly find out, and being questioning of the values and practices of the culture.
