Human trafficking How would you feel if you were bought, sold, and used around the world? Child/ human trafficking is one of the fastest growing crimes and violations in the world. Human trafficking refers to the illegal and immoral buying and selling of children and also some adults. Females and children have a greater risk for sexual exploitation. Connections with arms dealers and illicit drug traders can also have a direct or indirect profitable criminal industry being a big part of such crimes. Some facts about human trafficking are the percentages for sex; seventy- five percent to eighty five percent. Sex trafficking plays a major part in the spread of HIV. More human slaves than ever before in the history of the world. There are estimated twenty seven million adults and thirteen million children around the world whom are human trafficking victims. It is estimated that thirty thousand victims of sex trafficking die each year from abuse, disease, torture, and neglect. Eighty percent of those sold into slavery are under twenty four years of age, and some are as young as six years of age. There have been twenty point nine million human trafficking victims worldwide since the year twenty thirteen. There have been and are several physical and mental consequences for these trafficking victims.
