How will you incorporate both of these concepts into your professional nursing practice? In the United States, there is a vast majority of different cultures. The goal of the healthcare system is to provide the best care for all people regardless of your race or ethnicity. This goal can be achieved only if health care providers and care takers have some understanding of cultural differences. Cultural differences can cause misunderstanding or lead to conflict. Biological inheritance is an important factor for healthcare provider to look at during admission. Assessment of family history is important because genes are passed down from parents to children. Almost all diseases are influenced by genes. If an individual have a heart attack their children have two to three time higher chance of having a heart attack than the general population.
