Around 2.6% of Australians live in rural and remote areas, which approximates to 601,380 people who are disadvantaged. My change to Australia, will help people in remote areas to easily access a general practitioner, go to school, buy groceries, visit a bank and go to work. People with serious health concerns, will also be able to go to the nearest hospital and seek medical aid, in a quick and orderly manner. It was found that people in isolated areas were 30% more likely to develop a long term health condition because of injuries, when compared to people living in major cities. Faster and better transportation would make it easier for a person to receive medical treatment for their injury, before it could develop into a serious threat towards their health. …show more content…
