If a child lives in a rural section of the region they are less likely to go to school because there are none close by. If the government was able to supply transportation, to and from school, for those students, more children would be attending school and learning how to read and write.

Some parents may not want their children to attend school because they need them to help around the house. To offset this, money could be given to each family for their child attending school. Although this would cost a lot of money with no immediate profit, these children will eventually get an education and, in turn, a good job to support them.
Money is also needed to increase the life expectancy in Central America. This money would be put towards providing health care, food and water to the people of Central America.

Doctors and nurses would be needed to treat the patients in the health care facilities. Without them, many more people will die of only minor illnesses. Along with that, people would be needed to build the facilities in which the patients would be treated in. If there are no clean and proper facilities, more people will suffer from infection.
Volunteers would be needed to prepare and/or package the food that is on its way to being distributed. Then there would needed to be people distributing the food and working in the distribution centers (food banks, soup kitchens). Finally, before any of this takes place, there would need to be people building these distribution centers so that the food can stay clean and
