Based on reading the article the author believes that the Paleo-Indians were smart and intelligent. In paragraph eight the author states “ Over the centuries ,they learned to adjust to the environment in which they settled. This shows that the author believes that these indians were indeed smart by stating that they learned to adapt to their situation. Another example would be in paragraph eight “Once beyond the glacier locked lands of the North West, the Paleo-Indians then spread throughout the two americans continents.” This reveals how the author feels about the Indians by showing that he realized that the indians were smart enough to spread out across the whole continent. For example in paragraph seven the author states “Archeologists have concluded that the first Americans were skilled tool makers, used fire, hunted large game such as mammoths, and moved about in pursuit of their prey.” This statement shows how the author conveys his feelings through his writing. Another example would be from paragraph seven “The animals provided meat for food, bones for tools and weapons, and hides for clothing and shelter.” This reveals the author's feelings of craftsmanship towards the Paleo-indians buy giving a numerous examples of their handy work. In conclusion another way the author feels about the Paleo-Indians is respect for their
