Homeless has been around but it’s been ignored until what brought more attention to it was the Great Depression. This is not the first time that this social problem have been presented. On October 29, 1929, change happened in America and it was not good for the people. The Stock Market crashed, which caused many people to lose their jobs and home, which arise from in many being homeless. Unemployment grew from 5 million in 1930 to close to 13 million by the end of 1932. (History, 2011, February 15)As a result of the depression families began to fall apart and change.
