Hepatitis B is a contagious diease to the liver that ranges from severe to a mild illness which lasts a few weeks to a serious and lifelong illness. The results from infections with include Hepatitis B virus. The Hepatitis B virus can be either an acute or a chronic infection. Hepatitis B is a virus that infects the liver . Most adults who get it have it for a short time and then get better. This is called acute hepatitis B. Sometimes the virus causes a long-term infection, called chronic hepatitis B. Over time, it can damage your liver. Babies and young children infected with the virus are more likely to get chronic hepatitis B. HBV is known as Hepatitis B Virus and it is one of the most infectious diseases worldwide and this paper will discuss epidemiology, pathogenicity, transmission, sign and symptoms, treatments and preventions.
