I chose Hellen Keller as my favorite American to go on Mout Rushmore because she was a very strong and inspiring person. Hellen was born June 27, 1880 Tuscumiba, Al according to Biography.com/people/Hellen/Keller. She went blind and deaf at the age of 19 monthes!! Can you beileave that? This horrible thing happened to her at such a young age. Hellen Keller had a very hard life consedering she couldnt see or hear! She did have a teacher named Anne Sullivin who acually showed her how to sign and helped her learn things. Without Anne she would have never been able to communicate and no one would undersand her needs.
