Gustav Stresemann was the German Chancellor for only a short-term and was a leading member of every government from 1923-1929. Gustav Stresemann accomplished a significant amount between 1924-1929 such as the Dawes plan or loans from the U.S. and the Young Plan, which means, Germany had 58 or 59 years to pay reparations. He was more skillful than Fridrich Ebert. He was also a right wing support so in turn he had wider support. Then he died after many great and significant things in October 3,1929 at the age of 51 from a stroke. He was for the right wing, which was led by Dr. Wolfgang Kapp and they wanted a strong leader, an army, and an empire because they were successful under the Kaiser. The old mark was proved that it was of no use, due to hyperinflation. Germany was in need of money very bad. Stresemann replaced marks with Rentenmarks, and they were backed up with American gold. In 1924 the Dawes Plan was created and announced. The Dawes Plan was created Charles Dawes. He set targets for German reparation payments. This action established the Weimar Republic. The next five years Germany invested 25 millions golden marks. The German economy quickly gained their strength back. They built factories, the employment rate increased and things seemed to return back to normal. A sense of purpose was given, to Germany by: Gustav Stresemann.
