Victor Frankenstein conceives a man that makes him “Capable of bestowing animation upon lifeless matter”(Shelley 50). Victor's pursuit to provide life to a lifeless creature is his climatic way of playing the role of God. This leaves the creature to play the role of adam or, “to be thy adam”(Shelley 55). The creature soon finds out that he is not destined to be Adam and instead “not even of the same nature of man”(Shelley 65). Despite the creatures discern of his hideousness he still proceeds to assume form of Adam. The creature subsequently comes to Victor demanding Victor to “Create a female” for the creature (Shelley 81). The creatures longing for a companion is a result of the many times the creature was abandoned by civilization. This new women creature that Victor creates is very identical to Eve in the view that both the creatures are a new species just like Adam and Eve were.
