There were many many challenges in the job to make this railroad. There were very busy and people actually left to go mine the silver they had heard about in Nevada, and so they thought they were going need about 5,000 people to build this railroad to Utah, where are they going find 5,000 people? Well they thought, the Chinese built the Great Wall didn't they?, Well let’s bring the Chinese in to do this work. And it turned out that the Chinese constituted about ⅔ of the entire work for us.
