For me my position on the s=federal system is to improve our government standing while keeping power in the states as we grow together as a nation. Federalism is the balance between the government and the states in power, policies, and sharing in both. In America it is an ever changing partnership. On one hand there is a bond between the states and central government, on the other hand a bond between the people and the central government. How this all started was during the separating of the US colonies from King Georges control. The constitution was made to centralize the power of our government while also giving it back to the states. During the constitutional convention(after the Deceleration and revolutionary war) they had to find anidentityy for ourselves after breaking away from a government with too much power. So where do they put the power? In the states, they gave it to the people, as the constitution states “we the people”. The constitution is a contract, is describes what type of system
