To begin with, the overpopulation of England pushed people away from there. There was not enough space for more people and or homes. Clarence Ver Steeg once wrote something very intriguing. He said that "Coupled with the theory was the fact: thousands of Englishmen were forced off land and unwelcome itinerants became a common sight (in English cities)." Many that were unwanted and travelers were always shoved off. That of which tells me that it was so extraordinarily abounding that they strained off many people.

Land in England was hard to find (especially with so many people coming). They didn't want to be pushed off of England so they thought it was better of them if they just left. William Penn wrote "industrious farmers and day laborers ... people who work with their hands ... their labor will be worth more than it is in England and their living will be cheaper." This means that people (mostly farmers) will be more successful in Colonial America because their belongings are worth more and living is cheaper than England's. As a result, people left England and went to Colonial America.
In conclusion, there are three main reasons of why so many people moved to colonial America. The first reason is because England's overpopulation forced people off.
