Environmental issues, such as degradation and exploitation, are seen as an interest to feminist because there understanding relate to the oppression of women. For instance, in India the deforestation and reforestation of a monoculture species tree results in a loss of livelihood factors such as food, fuel, fodder, and income generating uses for women (Warren, 2012/ ). She connects the two with the example of the conceptual framework that humans are morally justified in subordinating plants and rocks just as men are justified in subordinating women (pg. 591-592). Even if women and nature have social problems that include oppression how can they depend on each other to change their circumstance? Each issue has one similarity and many differences. A very key difference is that while women are oppressed my men, nature is oppressed by everyone. Although, businesses and large corporations have a major contribution to environmental degradation, the demand and consumption of technology contributes to the degradation of the environment.
