To create a budget, you must be detail-oriented in order to foresee all aspects of your personal spending and dedicated enough to following through on your plans. There are many ways that you can increase your savings, and a common choice is to increase your income. Wages increase with promotions or getting a new job, but both of these require you to be hard working and persistent. I believe that with any dream, you must be relentless in your pursuit and wise about the decisions you make to get there. Furthermore, the economy is always changing, and to be successful you must keep up to date and remain open-minded to new options or fluctuations. In general, I think that a positive attitude is a very beneficial trait and can bring you success in any aspect of your life, including finances or your career. While the previously mentioned traits apply to both personal and professional sides of life, good communication is essential in any type of professional setting. His education gave him a base of experience and offered many opportunities for advancement in the business world. Mr. Smith claims that having a good memory throughout his life has also been very beneficial. Being able to recall certain information has helped him to make informed decisions that he believes ultimately led to his successful life. Above all, Mr. Smith believes there is no substitute for honest hard work and perseverance when things do not go the way you envisioned. During the interview, Edward mentioned that through out your whole life you will be faced against people that are smarter than you, but if they do not put in the same amount of work, they can never surpass you. In his personal experience, he has found that the harder you work the luckier you get. Moreover, life can change in an instant and not always in a good way. Edward mentioned that even though you may not always be emotionally prepared for changes in your life that does not mean that you couldn’t be financially prepared. Just as his wife had to him, Glassman proposed this value in the form of a question, “How much of a difference will you make in the lives of others?”…
