Differentiated instruction “involves using different strategies such as flexible students instructional grouping, learning stations and learning centers, and two educators in the same classroom” (Turnbull, Turnbull, Wehmeyer & Shogren, 2016, p.369). To recognize differentiated instruction in the classroom one would be on the lookout for anything that is different from the way you would normally teach a lesson. A way that I could incorporate differentiated instruction in my classroom could be with a math lesson with early elementary school math. One way that I could do this is when dealing with addition I could ask the students to stand up.
