Dolphins have been named the most intelligent animal on the planet (Hoher, 2016). Similarly, other animals such as dogs are great human companions because people perceive them to be intelligent. The observations make one question the capacity of intelligence in humans and animals and the ways to measure it. Some intelligence tests measure the abilities needed for the success of specific cultures (Vernon, 2014). There are several different influences of intelligence in the society today.
Genetically, human beings have a brain that contains communication pathways, also known as neurons. The communication capacity of the neurons have an influence on human intelligence. The neurons are nerve cells that are in charge of communication and after transmission, the person can verbally or otherwise communicate to the other people around them (Lilienfeld, Lynn, Namy et. al., 2014).
