I've always been in love with the nostalgia of these seasons. The chill in the air. The mulled ciders and spices. The snow in northern states. I love ice skating in the park and feeling snowflakes hit my cheeks. The way the leaves change colors reflecting the golden change of a new season. I love pumpkin picking at the pumpkin patch. I enjoy the hussle in the streets from holiday shopping. The jitters of others running around with coffee in their hands. The way that apple pie always seems to taste better in the fall. I love knee-high boots and oversized chunky sweaters. I love how a pea coat hits your knees as you shimmy around just getting from place to place. I enjoy the way childrens' cheeks and noses always seem to be bright red as the play outside. I love going out to dinner in the city and just the routine of taking off your scarf, hat, mittens, and outerwear. I enjoy cozying up next to a fire with a throw blanket and a good read. I love to go see The Russian Nutcracker every year and the buzz you get during intermission; how I enjoy it because it's always the same. The auntumn and winter seasons have always just been an enchanting time for me. I love the time spent with family. The great selections of foods. Speaking of foods, those danish butter cookies in the little blue tin. It's a happy time the autumn and spring seasons bring. It's also a great time for new ideas and resolutions. "January may be the time of year when everybody's making resolutions, but fall always seems to actually feel like a fresh start" (Grasso). I think that the resolutions people make for the new year, takes shape in the autumn and winter
