“A Child Called It” by Dave Pelzer, this is hands down one of my favorite books it's extremely well written and includes gruesome details that you don't want to read but you can't put the book down. Dave Pelzer is such a brave man for writing about his horrific abuse, he was forced to eat his own vomit, stabbed, forced to swallow ammonia and clorox all y his mom. But he also mentioned that there was the “good years” he said he was always so comfortable with his mom she always gave him that sense of warmth and safety that every child needs. He was also very close with his dad he was “his hero”.…

She gave him a plate of food, “but the moment before the food touched my mouth, Mother snatched the plate away from me and emptied the food down the garbage,” (Pelzer 2).
