Only the best nations would survive and the smaller/weaker ones would be taken over by the best. This led to bigger nations getting more land and taking their land that had many useful resources for themselves. Big countries today make alliances with other big countries and smaller countries to protect them from being attacked by anyone who is bigger or smaller. All big countries today have similar military equipment but it is a lot harder for a smaller country to get the amount of military supplies another country may have or even some of the equipment due to price and production to make it.
