When comparing the main characters of movie Adam and the novel The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night-Time, by Mark Haddon, one sees that the two have many similarities; this makes both works exceptional to the audience. Firstly, in both the novel and movie both boys are interested in space. For example, Christopher is an aspiring astronaut who dreams of flying into space. Likewise, Adam works at a space observatory and has a lot of knowledge about the stars and how the universe was formed. Secondly, the two both are very socially awkward when talking about taboo subjects.
