A doctor is supposed to be a person the patient can trust and rely on that their judgment is the best, and that they are receiving the best and equal treatment as all other patients. However, this sometimes doesn’t happen, and it wasn’t done intentionally by their doctor. The text mentions a study that was preformed in 2002 Lane and colleges. In this specific study was about when children arrive in an emergency room for fractures the physicians must always see if they believe the fracture was caused due to child abuse. In the scripts there where two different types of patients one in which the information given was low risk for heart disease and one who is at high risk for heart disease.
