first of all Sam Mcgee wanted to be cremated it is even stated in the text "i want you to swear that fowl r fair you'll cremate my last remains" then after that his friend swore that he would do it. But did he do the right thing? why not just bury him and leave? Because cap swore that he would cremate him and if he didn't he would be breaking his promise to his friend. if you read the ending you'll notice that he was enjoying it which also shows that the narrator did the right thing.
In conclusion to the paragraph i think that by cremating Sam Mcgee the narrator did the right thing. The way i connect to this is that when you swear to do something for your friend you do it and keep your promise. The way i think this connects to the world is that its everybody's choice for what they want to do or what happens to their body when they die and that doing the right thing is never
