Cookie...Cookie… Cookie… Cookie? Wake up. Oh my God she doesn’t move. I started to think many things, she’s dead. No, no! It can’t be. My cousin told me to pick her up. It was the first thing that came up to my mind. I picked her up. She’s cold. She doesn’t move. I don’t feel nothing. It was like a stuffed animal, but heavy. I put her down. When I saw her there, just laying down without moving, my heart stopped for a minute. It was a huge impact in my life. It made me realize that animals are part of our family.

I remember one day, me and Cookie were alone in my house. That day my parents and I had an argument. After the argument everyone left and I stayed home alone with Cookie. I didn’t know how to handle it, so I thought to myself, and said that the best thing to do was go to my room. I didn’t wanted to see no one. After everything happen I just went to my room and layed down on my bed, I was crying and crying. I heard something coming inside my room. I thought it was my brother, I turn around, but it was no one. As I kept crying I felt like something jumped to my bed, I turn around and it was her. She went closer to me, and she stared at me with her big eyes. It seemed like if she was asking me," What’s wrong with you? What happen? How can I help you?". All we wanted was to say bye, but we didn't get the chance to do it. Even after everything happened, we were still sad. My mom sat down with us and told us, not to remember what just happened, and just to remember the wonderful moments we were with her. It sounded like my mom was counting her as a family member, I was glad she did. Even though, "my mom didn't liked her" I know that she

Realization The table was slightly illuminated by the dim, golden light from the lamp, casting blurred shadows against the walls. Papers were strewn everywhere across the wooden surface, rustling gently as a cool wind drifted through the open windows. The places that the lamp’s meager light could not reach were slightly lit up by the soft, silver moonlight. With a small huff of breath, I pinched my nose bridge, trying to fend off the headache that was steadily throbbing through my brain.…

On my very first birthday, my grandpa bought me this stuffed lab. It’s name was Stormy and it was small, with a dark brown name tag that said Yomiko Classics on the front, and soft with a mix of light and dark brown fur. I loved it very much, especially since it was a gift from my Grandpa, someone I loved dearly. I played with Stormy all the time, I took her on car rides with me, playgrounds, I even slept with her. I treated her as if she were a real dog, even though she was just a stuffed animal.…
