The production of Avon Cinema perfectly conserved the cores of both The resistible Rise of Arturo Ui and Party Time. However, it was hard to understand this juxtaposition before a careful analysis of the original works. What is the connection between a party and a scheme of gangsta? How do the separated works merge together? Those are puzzles haunting around audiences until the shared theme emerge from the books: a hidden violent under an artificial peace.

Not only the stages, but also light effects, costumes and style of performances are different. However, in the second last scene, the production finally brings the two stories together. It is the first time that two stories happen simultaneously. There are two interactions which are worth to be pointed out. Firstly, when Ui gives the speech to urge people vote for him, people in Party Time happen to be his audiences. When he asks for voting, no one cares about his speech, but when he threats people to vote, all the people down the stage rise up their hands. This interaction not only connects Arturo Ui and Party Time literally, but also emphasizes acquiescence to illusory peace. Secondly, when Ui exalts his plan, expecting to expand his control to the America, people down the stage laugh loudly. At this point, people in Party Time become audiences of the play, deriding this farce.
Brecht names his story “the RESISTIBLE rise of Arturo Ui”, but in the story, people don’t really resist his scheme, instead, they comply with atrocities for their short-term benefits. Also in Party Time, those hypocrites advocate harmony yet act so bloody in the shadow. Both stories looks so absurd when the darkness is revealed or implied, but so real when the readers refer the two to history. Reviewing Nazism and the US’s plan to Nicaragua, people can easily find out Arturo Ui and Party Time are just epitome of cycled history which is absurd but
