However, the Philadelphia police took drastic measures and decided to surround the Move house with a plethora of cops that fired over ten thousand rounds of ammunition at assumed armed members. If this was enough, they shut off their utilities and evacuated the neighborhood to fight Move members with fire and water. When the federal government’s reinforcement met the Cliven Bundy followers, they didn’t fire anything at them and eventually left, which allowed the armed followers to bring the cattle back to the government’s land. One of the most important differences to note is the way the system treated each event. The Cliven Bundy movement was treated as heroic and gained many followers including the approval of Deputy Chief Tom Robert of Las Vegas and other police officers in that area. On the other hand, there were a few people that would stick up for the Move movement and only two of the Philadelphia police bothered to save a Move child from a head injury during the standoff. For example, Philadelphia cops were less tolerant of the black Move members than the white cops and federal enforcement in Nevada. This isn’t confirmed, but it’s clear that the police in Nevada were very supportive of the “white man’s heritage”, but Philadelphians could care less about John Africa’s religion. Furthermore, the Cliven Bundy family is apparently extremely wealthy, which is a large contrast from the Move members bank accounts. This is a wise difference to note because it reveals that the Bundys have an advantage in most situations through their access to resources that will ultimately drive their movement.
