One of the articles I found talked about the different kinds of risk factors. Neighborhood violence is one factor and it really plays a major role in whether or not a child will be a delinquent or not. Neighborhood violence can be an actual act of violence or it can just be a threat to someone or the whole entire neighborhood. One of my articles discussed what the predictors of all the violence from the youth were. Many different factors can lead up to violence in the community. The first factor I think of is how likely someone can get to and access a gun or any other weapon. The articles mainly discussed how drugs and money are also a great factor in neighborhood crimes. Another factor is the exposure to violence. Someone who is living in poverty has more chances to be at risk with these factors so someone who is growing up in poverty is more likely to become delinquents. It’s better to look at one person rather than a group because you might find that the people in a group are only acting a certain way because they are influenced. Looking at each person as a single analysis then they have to be in an environment that they are most use to so they can act in a way that they normally would. It’s an honest look into their social life and the society in which they grew up. Doing that will better determine if those are the causes of the delinquent
