Approaches to the Study of Morality
Scientific approach. “Moral science may refer to the consideration of what is best for, and how to maximize the flourishing of, either particular individuals or all conscious creatures” (Wikipedia references, 2016). Many societies live and do for their community and those that break that ‘habit’ are thought to be immoral.

Consequences of our actions or benefits of our actions relate to care ethics. Provide an example of care ethics. An elderly person who seems to be confused. Say you are in a department or grocery store and spot an older person who seems to be confused or lost. Instead of ignoring that person and completing my shopping, I chose to help out. I ask if there is something wrong or if I may help that person in any way. I have been told to mind my own business, yet I have also been greatly appreciated in the form of a smile or a pat on the arm. Offering help to those in need is a form of showing I care, and therefore, I emulate care ethics. Explain your personal viewpoint on care ethics. In my opinion, people should show care in everything they do. Being a good or decent person normally causes nothing. I was raised in a time where you respected all elders, regardless of the circumstance. Our elders made the world I live in now and I am honored to show them the respect and care they ALL deserve. The ethical treatment of humans, animals, and yes, plants, is crucial if this world is continue being in existence.

Absolutism is the belief in or acceptance of in absolute principals, whether theological, political, ethical, or philosophical. To realize there are absolutes in the world gives solace that all will eventually be okay. The sun is in our skies, therefore, it will continue to rise every morning. Our moon must also rise at night, as it is in our sky as well. The grass is green when it is healthy. A vehicle must have fuel to run. A body must have blood in order to live. A dog, unless mute or completely trained not to, will bark at a stranger or an unfamiliar noise.
