Everyday someone 's child is being bullied or they are the bully. It has been stated by the American Society for the Positive Care of Children that “about 28 percent of students ages 12-18 reported being bullied during the school year” (“Bullying Statistics and Information” ).This does not even include the percent of children that does not report that they have been bullied. Many children get threatened by the bully not to tell that they are being bullied. According to the U.S government anti bullying website, bullying is defined as “unwanted behavior among school children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance” (“Bullying Definition”).They also say that “the behavior is repeated or has the potential to be repeated over time, both kids the bully and they one who is being bullied may have serious lasting problems” (“Bullying Definition”) . Bullying has many causes and effects for both the bully and the one who is being bullied. Most children never heal from being bullied. They seem to always be fearful of bullying.

There are many causes of being a bully and why people get bullied. One of the reasons that people get bullied is because they may have some type of disability. Children are likely to bully other children that do not look like them. Children can not help if they were born with a certain disability and some children do not understand that at an early age so they tend to pick on them because they do not look the way that they do or they do not act…
