Definition Essay-It's Time To Stop Bullying

Everyday someone 's child is being bullied or they are the bully. It has been stated by the American Society for the Positive Care of Children that “about 28 percent of students ages 12-18 reported being bullied during the school year” (“Bullying Statistics and Information” ).This does not even include the percent of children that does not report that they have been bullied. Many children get threatened by the bully not to tell that they are being bullied. According to the U.S government anti bullying website, bullying is defined as “unwanted behavior among school children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance” (“Bullying Definition”).They also say that “the behavior is repeated or has the potential to be repeated over time, both …show more content…
These stresses could include strained parental relationships,poor academic performance,unsupportive peer network or anxiety regarding physical appearance. While bullies give off the appearance of confidence it is often the case that their actions are driven by their insecurities. Harassing others gives bullies a sense of authority it makes up for the lack of control in some other parts of their lives. Many bullies are often motivated to abuse others, because they have been a victim of abusive behavior and they want others to feel the same way that they have felt. The bully always seems to take out their anger on others and it seems to alway hurt the other person” (“Child Abuse and Neglect”). Let’s make a stand against bullying let us show people the love that the need to go on. When we see that someone is being bullied we need to make it stop right them , because if another child seems someone bullying someone else then that child will think that is is ok to bully other people. Let’s teach the children of our future to love one another not to hate and bully each other. When you see that someone is being bullied report it. Do not be afraid to do what is right and be a leader. It can change someone’s life
