Booker T. Washington was born April 5, 1856, Hale ‘ford Virginia, he was the child of a slave worker which made him a slave. Mr. Washington mother Jane Ferguson was a plantation cook and his dad Washington Ferguson was a white plantation owner who took no responsibility for him and his family. Growing up Mr. Washington had two brothers John Washington, James Ferguson and one sister Amanda Ferguson Johnson. Dubois (William Edward Burghardt) was born February 23, 1868 in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, Mr. Dubois was the son of Mary Silvana Dubois (Mother) and Alfred Dubois (Father). Mr. Dubois has one son Burghardt William and one Daughter Yolonda William. Mr. Dubois was a very Intelligent man, he was the first African American man to get a doctoral Degree from Howard University around the 20th century, Dubois had the title for being the best spokesperson for African American rights. Dubois was the co-founder for the (NAACP) National Association for the Advanced of Colored People in 1909.
Booker T. Washington the most influential black leader, lectured of reasoning of self-improvement and many racial solidarities. Mr. Dubois had a wonderful movement plan for backs, he challenges and ask black African Americans to adhere to separation until further notice and control themselves through trying to make a difference in black lives by gaining their education becoming better with their hands by doing more hands-on things.
W.E.B. Dubois strongly disagreed on the strategies for black’s improvement plan that was put in place by Booker T. Washington however, Dubois strongly believed that Booker T. Washington plan would just compose wrong doing to wrong doing and most people would have a negative look then what they already had against
