To improve my performance in ballroom dance, I would first need to gather more confidence. Studies have shown that by improving confidence you also improve performance (National Research Council, 1994). As my performance improves, I will become more enthusiastic about dancing, and therefore, make more time to practice. This will impact on my participation and enjoyment of ballroom dance as I will be more willing to participate and help others. I will also enjoy ballroom more as my skills will have improved drastically.
