After college, I entered a Master’s program in Statistics/Actuarial Science at Columbia University. It was there that I fortified my strengths in quantitative reasoning and where I credit my aptitude for problem solving. Unfortunately, my excitement for analytics ended there. Instead, it was my random decision to enroll in a dance class during that same time that led to the realization of what truly fulfilled my spirits.
My love for dance stems from the humanity it possesses. Constantly examining and revealing one’s self was something I had no prior experience in so I treasured it instantaneously. With the hope that it incorporates the sense of humanity that dance gives, as well as elements from the sciences and mathematics, I feel that the field of nursing perfectly captures this.
